While we were in Murchison Falls for the weekend, we stayed at the guest house. We only had power for a short time because they turned the generator on for us. The drivers of our vans warned us of hippos roaming around and to be careful. We heard different animals in the brush in front of the hotel. The latrines were stinky and looked pretty scary in the dark. The doors were strange and had no way of locking. The building was also set off to the side - away from all the other buildings.
Needless to say, everyone began talking about every horror movie they've seen. Ones set in the woods, ones with crazy animals, ones with foreign travels, and everything in between. Plus they talked of snakes, spiders, and every other creepy crawler they might've been scared of. Wow . . . what great bedtime thoughts. And boy am I glad I don't watch horror movies anymore. Yuck!!
We even had a warthog come onto the porch and start going through our food. That was awesome! Pretty sure I could've almost touched him. We almost didn't even get a picture in time. At least there's one! Pumba in action!!
