Early to rise....

Wow….. Gulu wakes up early. We got in really late so we were glad we didn’t have to be ready to go till 9 am. Turns out that Gulu starts their day by 7 am. We are in a good hotel in town, and there’s a lot of people out in cars, boda-bodas (motorcycles), and even doing construction by around 7 am. Sheesh . . . Oh well. I guess that just means I’ll have to get to bed at a decent time. Although I’m not sure if that’ll be possible.

It’s been a long few days. Today we went around visiting each other’s internship locations. But I gotta tell you – it’s stressful. We all need a break from each other. At least we are all feeling that way, not just me. We were supposed to have the afternoon to unpack and relax, but since the schedule never goes as planned – it was more like 5pm by the time we got the chance. I suppose it’s better than not getting a chance at all.

Funny story – we were starting to board the bus {10 ppl plus a driver in a 6.5 passenger van} after the 2^nd stop when a girl broke the back window. It was completely unexpected but kind of funny. She barely even touched the window when it shattered all over her. Glass kind of went everywhere. We were able to kind of get the seat cleaned up. And now we had more air in the vehicle. We felt bad for the driver, but it was kind of so unexpected, it was funny.

Tomorrow we start the lectures/class. It’ll be intense full days, but it should be enlightening. I’m slightly looking forward to it. I just hope it turns out pretty good.  Looks like I’m going to be in bed earlier tonight, although maybe not as early as I should . .
