I have found that it works best if you have some sort of candy with you when dealing with children. In any country.
So whenever a child is around, we offer them candy. It's best, when in hot climates, to have candy that doesn't get too melty or sticky. And if their parent(s) is around, we ask permission first.
But it turns out that they learn when you have this candy.
Timothy has started to come up to my purse and start looking through the pockets and feeling for candy. He's a little stinker. But that's also what I get for always having some sort of treat with me.
Thanks for supplying our sugar, Mom!! I'm sharing it, not eating it all myself. Timothy, everyone at the prison, this little worker guy, Rochelle, Dilis, and their neighborhood friends. We've gotta be sure to share the sugar rush with every kid possible.
