Good Morning, Gulu!!

The view from my bed on Sunday morning. What a beautiful sight. And what a wonderful way to awake. The warm sun peaking through the window, the beautiful, cloudless blue sky, and the wonderful mosquito net keeping me safe. No alarm to rudely awaken me, no reason to rush out of bed, no worries. As many Disney loving Americans say, "Hakuna Matata".
There's something about this wonderful Gulu town that puts me in a different mood. I always stay busy, and always on the go, even though it seems that no one else is in a hurry. Maybe I'm just used to being a fast-paced, on-the-go muzungu, but I don't understand how people just take their time to do things.
Don't get me wrong, there's always people out and about. From before I awake, until after I go to sleep at night. But somehow they don't seem overly worried about getting to places, being on time, or having to be somewhere at a certain time. I wish I could work on that time schedule. Yes, I am making my own schedule right now, but I feel like I just won't have enough time to get everything done. There's so much to do, so many people to spend time with, so many other places to see. But it feels there is not enough hours in a day. As Anna-Claire said earlier this evening, "Gulu feels like it has shorter days. The time goes by so much faster."
So, Good-night, Gulu Town. We must rest for tomorrow is another full day of the beautiful, hot sun, lots of loving people, tasty food, and lots of deciphering conversations.
