Speaking of Animal Love

Not all animals have to be furry to be enjoyable! Haha....



 

There is/was a Christmas bazaar going on and we were able to stop by. We heard there was going to be lots of different animals, but it turns out that there weren't as many as we had hoped. But the camel was fun as were the wonderful snakes.

Anna-Claire wasn't sure about sitting on the camel, and knew for SURE that she didn't want to ride it. We wandered over just to see what it was all about and the longer we stood there, the larger the crowd around us became. Then when she was on the camel, the crowd grew.... What a sight to see a muzungu, and apparently even stranger to see her on a camel!

So, even though it would have been entertaining to see Anna-Claire riding the camel, she only sat on it and pet it. We learned that camels can live to be rather old - we are hoping this one is treated well enough that it lives a long life as well.

As for the snakes.... well.... those were interesting to see. They absolutely wanted us to have it around our shoulders and when we just laughed, they insisted more. So Anna-Claire was brave and allowed it, but only if they kept the head away from her!! And they did.
